Passionate Educator,
Technologist, and Futurist I believe that teaching is about more than just imparting knowledge—it's about inspiring curiosity and fostering a lifelong love of learning. For me, education transcends preparing students for the workforce; it’s about sharing the joy of discovery.
My passion lies in exploring how technology can open new possibilities, transforming not only the classroom but the world around us. Technology should be more than just an enhancement—it should create entirely new opportunities. Guided by Jesuit principles, I focus on cura personalis—care for the whole person—ensuring that technology serves not only academic growth but the holistic development of each learner. I strive to align my work with the values of justice, equity, and social responsibility, using technology to create inclusive educational experiences that contribute to the greater good. In my book, The EdTech Bible, I share the insights I wish I had when I first began teaching. This book is designed for K-12 teachers and college faculty, but its practical approach appeals to anyone interested in how technology can enrich education. For over two decades, I’ve dedicated my career to education, starting as a high school math teacher and evolving into my current role as Senior Instructional Technologist at Fordham University. Since 2008, I’ve worked alongside faculty to integrate technology into their teaching practices, developing innovative resources and leading transformative projects. At Fordham, I focus on helping educators adopt technology for online learning, digital citizenship, and emerging tech trends. I organize campus events, lead training programs, and continually explore new tools to help faculty design engaging, tech-enhanced learning experiences. Since joining the Educational Technologies team at Fordham in 2008, I’ve developed and implemented training curricula on a variety of topics, including digital identity management, multimedia use, AI integration, data visualization, and content curation. My expertise enables faculty to create interactive lessons and activities, both in face-to-face and online settings. As an experienced Blackboard administrator, I’ve been instrumental in developing online courses and programs since Fordham first embraced online learning. I am committed to staying at the cutting edge of educational technology. Through my presentations and resources, I keep faculty informed about emerging tools like AI, cloud-based applications, and multimedia platforms that are transforming the learning experience. My workshops emphasize the practical application of these technologies, empowering educators to integrate innovative tools that boost student engagement, foster collaboration, and streamline course management. I also provide valuable resources to help faculty navigate the rapidly evolving tech landscape, ensuring they are equipped to leverage new opportunities in educational technology. My role has evolved, but my mission remains the same: to empower educators and transform classrooms through technology. Instructional Design E-Learning team
